Hello,

i got following problem with version checker enabled.
When i try to enter the Artio VM Invoice in Backend (Control center) i get a 504.


With version checker disabled everything works fine.

Are ther any problems with your server atm? Or is there anaything i can do to get version checker working properly?

Hello VM Invoice does not yet support upgrades through Joomla Extension Management.
As it maintains compatibility both for Joomla 1.5 and 2.5, it uses its own updater.

Usage of Joomla Updated is planned, but not really a priority.

thaks for your answer, but my question was related to your own implemented updater.

But i found the solution:

if fsockopen is disabled you get an 504 trying to reach the Control center of Artio VM Invoice.

Maybe you can add this information to requirements or disable this feature for default settings(worse) or add some checks to disable your Auto Update if it fails the requirements(f. e. fsock not open ... would be the best solution in my mind)
