TOPIC: Very slow site after moving to other hosting

Very slow site after moving to other hosting 14 years, 6 months ago #12221

Since today I moved the website from one hosting to another, the website is completely slow.
I'm using Artio JoomSEF with Joomla and Virtuemart. The first few clicks on the pages were OK, after a while the speed of loading became worse and worse. On some occasions I got white pages with out of memory errors, even in de backend. I raised the memory limit to 24M and after that the white pages disappeared but the site is still very very slow. The specs of the server are the same as in the old situation (php 5.2, safe mode off)

I purged and cleaned the cache, I even disabled cache in JoomSEF for a while but that doesn't help.
I have the feeling it is getting slower as you click on the pages more and more (cache full?)

thanks!

My Order ID is 8308.

What was the answer to this slow performance. I am as well getting a slow performing site and I host through Network Solutions. Please share so I can speed my sites response, thanks.

Have a great day!

Hello,

there is almost never a simple answer to performance problems.

It may be wrong server configuration, unoptimized code (e.g. long JS menus loading on every page-load are often problem), caching not working or turned off, etc.

If you need help with optimizing your site speed, we can certainly help within our paid support offer:
