First off I'm really liking this component, it just makes very easy to have a full control of SEO.

Saying this I have a little problem that I can't figure it out how to solve it and hopefully someone here did find already a solution.

Joomla version: 1.5.15
ARTIO JoomSEF version: 3.6.2
Joomfish version: 2.0.4

My site is currently in 3 languages:
Italian (default language)
German
English

My problem is that the homepage of the website has a different URL from the first page of the Italian language.
Let me try to explain better, I go to the homepage of my website mysite.it that is in italian and there I click on the link to show the italian language of the website, the link is mysite.it/it.

You see that there are 2 pages that should be just one and I can change the meta data of the second one but not of the homepage of the website.

Is there a way I can tell JoomSEF that the homepage of italian language is the same as the homepage of the website?

Anyone?

Was I not able to explain my problem properly or noone has the same problem?

Do you have the italian set as "main language". Then it homepage should be just yousite.it.
Alternativally, simply manually update the /it URL to just /.

Anyway, the first methos is probably preffered, similarily as it is done on this site.

Italian is already set as default language in the "Language manager".

I did find under the "JoomSEF Configuration" in the tab "JoomFish" a select where you can insert the main language of the website.

Should I put it in there as well?

I searched a bit more and this is what I found:

The problem or at least what is the problem for me can be seen on artio site too.
If I'm in the homepage of artio and I want to see the homepage in Deutsch I just press the button and I can see the homepage in Deutsch.
I then always in Deutsch check out the product page, then I decide I want to see something back in the homepage so I press the "Startseite" link and now is the problem. The page that it comes to me is in english and not in deutsch.

I found that if I enable the "save the language on a cookie" then it goes back to the language I'm in at the moment but I cannot use the cookie setting.

Something to notice is that this works only for the homepage link in the menu if I put a link to the homepage of the website in a module or inside the article then the link will it be correct to the language I'm currently looking.
