Hello,
Thanks for the software and all your hard work.
I’m running on my localhost server and because I already have a Joomla instal in the root, I am testing in a double sub directory: /jvirtuemart/Joomla/ ie:

# Uncomment following line if your webserver's URL
# is not directly related to physical file paths.
# Update Your Joomla! Directory (just / for root)

RewriteBase/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/

# Options +FollowSymLinks
#
# mod_rewrite in use
RewriteEngine On

First (but not most important:) In JoomSEF control panel buttons: (ARTIO JoomSEF Changelog) gives nothing when clicked. Button (Artio JoomSEF Documentation) Gives the Changelog but no docs. Do I have a corrupt download? or are there issues with the new: Virtuemart eCommerce Bundle? I have uninstalled and reinstalled fresh with same the results.

I have never installed “sh404sef” so database has only your “jos_redirection”
Yes, I have read your FAQs many times and yes, I have searched your forum with no luck.

The main thing is: My home page always loads no problem: Address:
localhost:8888/MAMP/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/

Anything in JoomSEFs Component Configuration that is “skipped” works as usual.

The contact us page:
localhost:8888/MAMP/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/e...ts/george-klaus.html
gives a 404 Not Found.

This link works:
localhost:8888/MAMP/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/i...ry_id=9&Itemid=1
Must be one that is "skipped" as I see the (index.php) in there.

but when you hit a product link from that location:
localhost:8888/MAMP/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/e...-ipod-nano-2-gb.html

It gives the 404 page not found.

From main page:
localhost:8888/MAMP/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/e...st-all-products.html
404 page

Advanced search page:
localhost:8888/MAMP/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/e...advanced-search.html
404 page.
etc.

At this point I’m glad I don’t have a published site and only the test demo products installed with a few test pages created. I need to work this out before proceeding with any more work.

Hope you can help as I have tried everything I could think of. I wouldn't mind paying for your tech support but I think I may need to do that after the site has been published. (hope not ;-)

Hello,

thaks for very detailed problem description.
I think the help is easy - you have incorrectly set RewriteBase value.

It should be: RewriteBase /MAMP/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/
not just: RewriteBase /Jvirtuemart/Joomla/

Hi Jan,

Thanks for the suggestion of the following: RewriteBase /MAMP/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/
But! I had tried that and have tried it again, plus emptied cash on browser and in JoomSEF with no change at all. Is there anything else needed to add to this? RewriteBase /MAMP/Jvirtuemart/Joomla/

And what about the other questions I asked:
Possible corrupt JoomSEF file?

And,

First (but not most important:) In JoomSEF control panel buttons: (ARTIO JoomSEF Changelog) gives nothing when clicked. Button (Artio JoomSEF Documentation) Gives the Changelog but no docs.

Do I have a corrupt download? or:

are there issues with the new: Virtuemart eCommerce Bundle? I have uninstalled and reinstalled fresh with the same the results.

Thanks

Wayne

P.S. Jan,

I just downloaded another copy and after uninstalling and re-installing ... no luck.
I still have all the same issues.

Please address the questions above from the first post about the "virtuemart bundle" possible issues if you know of any.

Thanks

Hello,

as regards the documentation / changelog link problem, try to download the latest 3.2.9 file and "upgrade" over your existing. There was mistake in the initial release where both these links pointed to the same target.

As regards VirtueMart, I am not aware of any present issues.

Hi Jan,

You said "as regards the documentation / changelog link problem, try to download the latest 3.2.9 file and "upgrade" over your existing. There was mistake in the initial release where both these links pointed to the same target."

I just did that with the same results plus 3.2.9. is the version I purchased.
