I saw page speed slowed by 100% after Artio installation, which I needed to do for Virtuemart urls.

Is it better to turn off system sef urls in global config?

Any suggestions most welcome.

Hello,

turning off system SEF URLs is certainly not solution as that will deactivate JoomSEF also.

You should rely on JoomSEF cache that should be created and help decrease the load. Just make sure the caching in Joomla is enabled.

With VirtueMart, there is also often a problem with specific category menu modules using JS and generating the full category tree that do not get cached even when caching is on. The solution in such case is replacing or fixing such category module.
