Hello,

I'm using joomla!1.5.15 , joomsef 3.4.2 and joomfish 2.0.4, my problem is the site meta tiltle, description. keywords are not translated at all when i'm enabling the joomsef.

I noticed it is working if i disabled the joomsef and enabled the System - Jfrouter plugin.

but when i enable the joomsef and of course disable the jfrouter plugin, the site reads the default meta tags and no translation

I've checked the artio jomsef plugin and there is my choises:

enable metadata genertion: yes
prefer joomsef titles: yes
use site name in page title : yes- after page title
site name separator: -
rewrite keywords, description, prevent site name duplicity :yes
set page base href value : yes- alwayes use only base URL.

I really don't know where is the problem. i need help please.

Thank you.

Hello Liza,

I am not sure what could be causing this... maybe some cache (Joomla?, JoomFish?)? Or the metadata entered for SEF URL for incorrent language? Some other plugin conflicting with JoomSEF.

I am quite positive that it should work, if you go e.g. to:
www.artio.net/en/content-management/joomla-cms
and switch between english and czech, you should see the metada are being changed and translated as they should. -- and we also use JoomFish 2.0.4, so there should not be problem in its version.

I am afraid I cannot advice you much more without investigating directly at your site.

Thank you Jan for your replay,I really appreciate your help.

I've cleaned the joomla cache but i couldn't find the place where i should clean the joomfish cache.

I really don't understand what do you mean by: Or the metadata entered for SEF URL for incorrent language?

The components I'm using are:
- communicator for newsletter
-mad4joomla for forms
- virtuemart
- xmap
- juga but i'm using it for admins only.

the plugins except for joomsef and joomfish:
-jumi
-thickbox+ for joomla
- vivo youtube plugin

the modules except for joomsef and joomfish:
- neolatest news
-vm advanced search

Hello,

1. make sure JoomSEF plugin is ordered first,
2. try to disable the other plugins to test it (mainly Jumi)

I tried to disable all the plugins i'm using and checked the order of joomsef plugin it is the first in the systems plugins but nothing changed.

Should i reorder all the plugins and let the joomsef in the first of all of them not only the first on systems plugins?

Hello,

global ordering does not matter. JoomSEF being first in system plugins should be enough. However, for test purposes you could also try to order it last - that should help you check, if any of other system plugins in not rewriting the meta-data set by JoomSEF. (that is well possible)
Anyway, that should not be case if you have tried to disable the other Joomla system plugins.
