Same problem to me, I had to download it again and make a new installation, luckly I didn't set any meta before.

I'm so close I can taste it!

Here's what's happening:

1. I click on a page (or go to home page)
2. Language filter kicks in and redirects to default site language (en-US)
3. Land on 404 page.

Here is a list of problems I'm having:

1. SEF Url's all 404.
2. Joomsef does not generate the link with the language tag in it, example: en-US/products/pets/felines/scottish-fold

If I can get this working I WILL BE BUYING A LICENSE as this is for a commercial website. I appreciate any help the other users or joomsef staff can provide...

I noticed in the manual that this functionality appears to be supported with joomfish. Can it also be added for the default System - Language Filter? Does it already work with System Language Filter? Any advice on how to make this work?
