Joomsef Links on PAID version - NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! 15 years, 9 months ago #5830

Hi.

I have the PAID version of Joomsef and the Virtuemart Extension on my LIVE SITE.

For an unknown reason the site now has the SEO by Artio links ALL OVER THE SITE. It looks DREADFUL.

So I email support. They say 'ah that should happen, reinstall Jomsef'. Well I dont have a local copy. I am asked for my order number, well I dont know it as I have ordered quite a few copies for my sites and client sites.

Then I am told that if I ordered it over 6 months ago i wont be able to redownload it anyway.

GREAT!!

Well its an emergency as its a LIVE and KICKING website. So I think, I'll have to swallow the cost and reorder it. However I couldnt even do that as the Artio site kicks up 'Invalid Token' errors and more.

I am hoping someone reads this that can actually do something. I know a lot of people have/have had this problem. Its VERY simple, I have PAID for the component and virtuemart extension and now I have Artio links all over my site.

They MUST be removed.

I will provide ftp and admin login details. I just need this sorted.

Anyone willing to step up?

Gary

I'm having the same problem. I installed JoomSEF 3.2.4, updated it to 3.2.6, and installed the payed (€11,90) Virtuemart SEF extension.

On all my webshop pages there's the SEO by Artio. No a very polite way of advertising in my beliefs.

Hope, along with garysumpter, to hear an adequate solution soon!

in your template.html: cover it up with a div with relative position

<div id="fill" style="left: 0px; width: 30px; position: relative; top: -13px; height: 12px; background-color:#000000;"></div>

elsteff

Thank you for the suggestion, personally I am looking for the Artio guys to pull their finger out as I have had this problem occur before on another site and I know others have too.

Surely THEY should be addressing the problem? :)

To elsteff1385.

Well, you have bought the the VirtueMart extension, but you do not have paid JoomSEF - at least I did not find any order under your name. So that is why you are seeing the "SEO by ARTIO" link.

If you buy paid version, it will disappear.

Dear Gary,

your situation is a bit different then you claim here.
You told us on support you have been moving your site to other server, and that previously everything was working correct. We told you, then the easiest thing to do is do the reinstall the whole thing to get it fixed. Then you want us to resend you the files.

There are some rules set you have agreed with on - as 6 months download limit etc. - which you have agreed on. I really do not know what happened on your site. However we have suggested you several ways how to solve them.

After several angry mails, you did not reply anymore, so what else would you like from us?
If you want US to solve this, buy paid support. We however refuse this case is caused by any problem at our side.

All cases of the links appearing in paid version we have experienced here were just because wrong install procedure.
Maybe, being a bit more polite we could solve this in more firendly matter.
