Virtuemart category ending with 'option'

Support forum for users using free edition of JoomSEF 3 (Joomla 1.5 compatible). These forums are mainly for mutual help between users.

TOPIC: Virtuemart category ending with 'option'

Virtuemart category ending with 'option' 16 years, 9 months ago #3908

I purchased and installed the Virtuemart plugin (v1.1.3). I am having a problem with the SEF URLs when my Virtuemart categories end with 'option'. If the category ends with 'option' users get a 'page not found' error.

An example is a category called 'adoption'. Products in this category create a SEF URL similar to this:
product/adoption/1306-product-name.html

After realizing the problem I see that a line in joomsef.php may be causing this problem. 

$sefstring = str_replace('option/', '', $sefstring);


I would rather not change my categories to avoid this problem, is there any suggestions to fix this?
