Translate URL activated--> some links don't work.. 18 years, 1 month ago #389

...anymore.

Hi,
I installed Artio, and I'm still impressed. But I do have a big problem. And I have studied it, so now I know where the problems comes from.
(Using Joom!Fish and 3 languages.)

As I explained in the theme of this thread, it appears only if "Translate URL" in configuration is activated. Some links inside of Joomla doesn't work anymore. The reason is, as far as I can see this, that there is an extra / in the URL. For example: www.joomla.de/products//34_zh.html. I have no idea, where this extra / is from and what to do, to show correct links. It causes a 404 error. Does anybody have the same problem and a solution for it. I guess it is a bug...

I have a similar problem.

Most of my URLS work well, my site is using 7 different languages with joomfish, and with one menu link I am having trouble in spanish, not in any other language. In fact I have only found this one link which doesn't work, though considering the multitude of possible links, there is no way to check them all ;-)

If you go to the spanish version of my homepage

http://www.miniloft.de/home/2_es.html

and then click on the link Edificación

it shows this error code:

regel292 in sef_ext.php

the URL shown is

http://www.miniloft.de/the-building-2.html

all other languages throw up the same url, but work fine. Going to the same page in another language, then changing the language throws up a slightly different URL, but with the same inconsistent effect:

http://www.miniloft.de/the-building-3_es.html

It seems like a bug to me, does anyone else have any ideas?

@mgriffin

Sorry, your problem is completely different to mine. My problem is, that some links has double backslash in its links.

// and therefore I received a 404 error, page not existent. Any ideas here?

Got the same thing. It adds another / infront of the URL rendering it useless. Seems like I missed something basic. If I know how to fix it I'll post again.

Hello,

I think this problem could have some relation to whether you have configured to use section/category to render the URL or just category. Could you please post here what is your setting there?

Best regards,
