I've been using Joomsef and CB for over a year or so now without any major difficulties. Today I had a 'too many pages' message which I have had 2-3 times this year - as usual I cleared my sef cache to remove that message.

When that was done I was unable to login using my CB_login module. I am however able to use the core Joomla login.

When I try to login using the CB module the URL displays www.mysite.com/my_profile/login.php and when I try to logout it takes me to www.mysite.com/my_profile/logout.html. In both cases it displays the category headers from one of my extensions (auction factory) and neither logs me in or out. I have changed the redirect on login/out settings but this does not make a difference. Trying to view a users CB profile also brings the 'category headers' page

The only thing that changed was me purging the sef URLS because of the too many pages issue (can ANYTHING be done about this?)

I'm using J! 1.0.15 & Joomsef 1.5.1

Update...

I just uninstalled the auction factory package and everything seems to be working again.

Why would Joomsef work before, then stop working, and now start to work again when I remove an un-associated piece of software? Thankfully I was not using the auction Factory software any more.

Anyway I hope my experience is useful to others who come along afterwards
