TOPIC: sql errors

sql errors 16 years ago #5425

joomla 1.5.8
php 5.2.6
apache
shared 1and1.com
htaccess as in your docs

I have sql all over my site.

I found this in the FAQ
After installing JoomSEF, there are SQL queries visible over my page, why is that?

This means that JoomSEF could not run the SQL query on your database. Please, check that Joomla has right privileges set to access all the DB tables. This error can also occure when there is some older version of needed table left in your database - try uninstalling JoomSEF, manually deleting the needed table and installing JoomSEF again. Always backup your database prior to doing such changes! Please note this especially occures after you had sh404sef installed previously. sh40sef will not remove its tables correctly, so you need to make sure they are removed before installing JoomSEF.

I uninstalled ArtiaSEF then removed the tables left from sh404sef.
I reinstalled Artio but I still ahve sql all over the place

www.daverkc.com

How do I check to see if Joonla has the right priveledges?? Everything else does
What tables do I need to manually delete?

Thanks

Hello,

first of all thanks for reading FAQs. :-)

Second, make sure mainly jos_redirection table had been removed after sh404sef and that it is writeable for Joomla (but that is most probably not a problem).

Interesting. I purged the table & reinstalled Artio and it didnt work. I deleted jos_redirection and Artio blew up of course. I uninstalled Artio & reinstalled and now it works.

Thanks

Hi, yes, if you had sh404sef installed previously, it leaves the jos_redirection table, but it has a slighly different structure than the one of JoomSEF. That is why it does not work and you need not only to purge it, but to delete it completelly and reinstall JoomSEF (thus it will recreate it).

strange, I've done the table delete, uninstall reinstall etc..

when I install joomsef, the jos_redirection table is not recreated..

Hello,

because of the often conflicts between sh404sef and JoomSEF as described earlier in this feed, since JoomSEF version 3.3.0, the table jos_redirection was renamed to jos_sefurls in JoomSEF.
