First - I mistakenly downloaded the SMF SEF rather than the Virtuemart. I have no need for the SMF SEF file but since I'm out of pocket I thought I'd try and give it a shot on a client site that has SMF bridged.
First - the standard JoomSEF install worked great with the exception of the bridged SMF. It would not ignore the SMF component, either. All forum links have been changed to:
www.website.com/forum/130.html
The kicker? forum/#.html aren't shown in any of the control panel's redirects listed.
So their site is now "broken" so to speak.
I gave the install a try for the SMF extension. It would seem that this won't work since they are using SMF Bridge 2.0. It says it is installed but alas, it also gives the message that it's the wrong version. And of course - the forums are still "broken"
So here I am with an extension I can't use (?) and a site that is not functional.
My questions become:
Is there no way to get the SMF ext. to work with SMF 2.0 bridge? Since I've accidentally paid for this, are upgrades covered in the cost? (I should hope so)
If not, is there a way to truly get the JoomSEF to ignore the forum directory perhaps with a .htaccess edit?
If not - can I just get the virtuemart extension that I was really after? lol.
Resolved: Received an email from Artio - THANKS!!<br><br>Post edited by:
