I have installed this component and it is not working with my Joomla 1.0.11 at all :(

all urls are not working ..
for example :

so i tried to Disable the component but also it still working and viewing :

The page cannot be found"

i uninstalled the component.. and the urls stayed the same ..
now i installed it again and i dont know what to do to let this great component works with my website..
please help me asap..

are you sure you have configured your .htaccess file correctly? Please, see instruciton in docs or at this forums. If there are still problems, contact us again.

It is btw. not possible that the URLs would stay same also after unistalling the component or when you deactivate. You must have mistaken.

I have renamed my htaccess.txt file to .htaccess thats it!
even though the problem is still exist ..
what i did now is that i disabled the component from my website and iam testing it here :
ebooksclan.org/testing/
links r still not working :
ebooksclan.org/testing/newsflash-1.html
if there is any tutorial or doc about the component plz let me get it ..

I have download the component com_joomsef-1.2.4 and use mambo 4.5.4 on server windows with filters isapi. The member works?
If what I must myself be made? Because now i have to error 401 page not found

Hi Ala,

if you have moved your site to /testing, than you need to modify the RewriteBase in your .htacess file to "RewriteBase /testing".

Then it should work. Otherwise, see the product page, there is documentation to be downloaded.

I have the same problem as she has!!! I am using Joomla 1.011 and my site doesnt work with this component.

I installed as per instructions and changed my .htaccess file to work as instructed and nothing... still error!

Not Found

The requested URL /home-new/index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.


It looks like its trying to make my URLs SEO friendly...but it doesnt work!
