TOPIC: no content

no content 17 years, 8 months ago #1803

Dear all,

I have installed the component and then uninstalled it again. But now I can't see any content on my homepage. It just states "there are no articles to show" or "you don't have permission to access this secion". I am not a programmer so I know just the very basics. I also have uploaded an .htacess file as it came in the uninstall instructions (I copied the text to a new file and then renamed it).

Please help, as I can't find any solution to my lost content (in the backend it is still there, and lsted as a public content).

Thank you very much

Best regards

Robert

Hello Robert,

I would like to help you, but I cannot see any direct connection with JoomSEF in what you describe.

If you have been changing .htaccess to original state, haven't you e.g. left the Joomla SEO active?

Could you please explain this close?r: in the backend it is still there, and lsted as a public content

Hello again

and thank you for your quick response. The problems definetely have something to do with JoomSef as they started when I installed it.

I have changed back .htacces to its original state, I have also tried to delte it completely but nothing works.

When I refer to in the backen it is still there I mean: my content has not been deleted, it is still listed in the respective content sections and it is not defined as only accesible to registered users, this is it is listed as public content.

The errors appear in Spanish as at the time when I installed JoomSef this was the language set. Now I cannot change back to English either. Feel free to have a look: ve000136.host.inode.at/

I would really be very grateful, if you could help me, as I havent made a backup yet of my new Joomla site.

Regards

Robert

Hello,

I can see the error messages in english, so that seems to be ok.
The next problem I can see is the double slash in your URL. It should work even like that, but it tells, there is probably some problem in your configuration.

If there is still .htaccess in your site root, try deleting it or rename it back to htaccess.txt as it is distributed with Joomla!.

For any other advice, I would have to check your site configuration.

Dear Michal,

if you send me your email, I can send you my access data to the site, so you can have a look at it. I really don't know what to do anymore. I have renamed .htaccess to htaccess.txt but the error is the same.

Thank you so much

Best regards

Robert
