TOPIC: JoomSEF showing ?Itemid=99999999

JoomSEF showing ?Itemid=99999999 17 years, 8 months ago #1584

Hi to all,

I installed JoomSEF 1.3.3 and upgraded to 1.4.0. In the links that are generated, it is showing a residual "?Itemid=X" value. This did not show in JoomSEF 1.3.3. See below:

yourmixer.com/home/news/index.php?Itemid=2

Removing that value directly from the URL does not give 404 Error - but ?Itemid=XXXX looks annoying. Most of the time it shows ?Itemid=99999999. Example

yourmixer.com/home/news-feeds/joomla-com...html?Itemid=99999999

Please advise.<br><br>Post edited by: 247mixers, at: 2007/03/06 22:01

Found a new configuration item:

Reappend Item ID = Set to NO if you do not want it to show.

Thanks.

I am new to Joomla. On which file do I need to make this change?

this configuration is in artio joomsef control panel

login joomla administration control panel, then
component -&gt; ARTIO JoomSEF -&gt; ARTIO JoomSEF Configuration
scroll down the page and find &quot;Advanced configuration&quot; , you will find &quot;Reappend source (Itemid)&quot;

default is 'yes', just set to 'no' then itemid?xxxx will be gone on the url path

by the way, I like to thanks ARTIO which developed a free sef which is compatible with joom!fish. Before I found this artio joomsef, I use open-sef and had sepnd many hours to find a solution to work with joom!fish but didn't at the end. At least current latest open-sef 2.0 RC5 SP2 still not compatible with joom!fish
