Hello. I have been using JoomSEF for a while and really like it. On a particular site, any custom titles or meta info I put into the JoomSEF link does not display. Only the info specified in the content item area is used. The site also uses the JRE SEF Patch Extended and is on Joomla 1.0.12. I just upgraded JoomSEF from 1.3.1 to 1.5.0 and didn't get any different results.

I'd like to use the JoomSEF abilities to name the titles/meta tags as many of the site's menu items are not regular content pages and thus do not have the ability to specify that information at that level.

if the meta tags you set in JoomSEF do not show on your pages, please, make sure that the ARTIO JoomSEF metabot is installed and published. (it should be installed automatically with JoomSEF, but this installation may fail e.g. when the permissions to /mambots directory are not set correctly).

Also make sure that usage of meta tags is not limited in site global configuration.

The mambot is installed and published. However, when I open it, this error displays at the top of the screen:

Warning: file_get_contents(/home/thespre/public_html/mambots/system/joomsef_metabot.xml) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/thespre/public_html/includes/domit/xml_domit_lite_parser.php on line 1079

Also, in the parameters box, it reads:
rewrite_keywords=1
prefer_joomsef_title=1

Is this correct?

Okay, I found that the joomsef_metabot.php and joomsef_metabot.xml files were NOT in the /mambots/system folder. They are now and the meta info is working mostly. I get the title and keywords specified in JoomSEF. BUT, I'm not getting the description tag. The pages still show the default site description tag. How can I get that?

My custom titles and keywords are displaying, BUT my descriptions are not. This is really hurting me. Don't know where my custom descriptions are going but they are sure not getting used anywhere. Please help!! Thanks.
