I installed artio joomsef and the accompaning .htaccess recommended in the documentation, and all I get is a forbidden index.php access error.

I have the latest released of the following installed.
joomla 1.0.12 installed
community builder
adsmanager
fireboard
joomexplorer
sobi2

Are there any known incompatibility with these and ARTIO JOOMSEF?

any ideas? I've followed the installation documentation to the letter, and can't understand why I can't make it work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times..
