TOPIC: Firefox ignores site set to offline?

Firefox ignores site set to offline? 15 years, 11 months ago #5415

Firefox ignores the 'site offline' setting and continues to show site as normal.
MS Explorer functions correctly.

Please can someone suggest a fix?

Thanks in advance, DM.

Hi,

I think that this isn't a problem of JoomSEF.

Problem eventually cleared itself, may of been due to not clearing URL cache, browser cache... or maybe magic...

Hello,

just a note about this...
If you are logged in the backend, note that if you set the frontend to offline, there is only a notification bar in the top of the site (location may depend on template). To see the standard offline message, you need to be logged of the backend as well.

So I am just guessing, you might have been logged in your FF and not in IE, thus the site was behaving differently. Logging out or closing and reopening browser might sort that out.
