A new google problem ... 17 years, 11 months ago #1303

Hi,
I have Artio 1.3.1 in operation. Works so far, but google doesn't put my SEO friendly URLs in his index.

Example:

The url in my browser looks like:
www.xsse.com/privatbedarf/geschenke/uhren/index.php
That's fine!

But google have this in his index:
www.xsse.com/privatbedarf/geschenke/uhren/index.php?
Itemid=4&category_id=56&lang=de&optio...

I have no idea, and I don't know why to use SEO, if google does not understand it.

Any comments and ideas are welcome.<br><br>Post edited by: michal, at: 2007/01/22 16:23

I do have the same effect with yahoo. In fact, why do I use SEF, (and my URL'S look wonderful in my browser), if the two big search engines does not understand Artio SEF???

AM I ALONE WITH THIS PROBLEM?

Re:A new google problem ... 17 years, 11 months ago #1336

I have use the joomSEF for a couples of weeks, I have generate a sitemap with the friendly urls (urls=2900 my products is 340) and upload it to google but it seems that I dont have my products indexed in google yet!

Maybe the multiplie links to the same target seems google not to have good policy about it!
So I also have the same problem with you my friend!

That's interesting. I have checked this out, and sometimes it happens as you described it. But most of the time, it works as it should. I still don't know, why search engines does not index the SEO urls....they do it always!

Why do you think, it's a matter of VM?
