I've been trying most SEF components for Joomla now, none of them seem to work. The thing is we have a Joomla 1.0.13 site running on an IIS host. They have Isapi/Rewrite standard installed .

On activating the SEO module in Joomla the site URL's get renamed properly on the home page. For instance www.domain.nl/index.php?option=com_conte...13&Itemid=32 becomes domain.nl/nl/diensten/

But when I click the link a 404 error appears. I have put a httpd.ini file in the web root and changed the joomla/demo description to / for web root. Is that correct?

What else should I do to get my site Google friendly? I'm thinking about migrating to 1.5, but the Joomfish component doesn't have a migrator ready yet.
