I've installed the latest version of joomsef on 1.0.11 joomla which is working with the standard sef. I just can't sem to get joomsef to work - comes up with error 404. here is the .htaccess file:

The trick is for newbies like me is to know that to disable a component is to remove the # as above in the .htaccess file

Perhaps this should be more clearly spelt out...??

My boss wants our customers to be able to type in just www.company.com/products to get to that category and I was hoping this would do it...

btw, I don't get the custom 404 error message either...
