TOPIC: Caching Does Not Appear to be Working

Caching Does Not Appear to be Working 13 years, 3 months ago #23924

Order: 00018464

I am using XCache for the Joomla Caching, and it is working fine, but it seems as though regardles of the settings in JoomSEF Cache settings, the number of queries on my front page seem to never reduce, regardless of the number of times I refresh my page.

I have cleared the cache, restarted Apache, everything else I can think of, but the number of queries is really high and I need the time to be reduced.

Hello,
did you check if the JoomSEF cache file is created in the /cache directory?
If so, does it include the links from your frontpage? (and are these marked as "cached" in URL Management?)

If the answer to all these questions is YES and you still see the queries on the frontpage, then there something wrong. I am not familiar with XCache component and how it works, but I would advice to try disabling it temporarily and try just with standard Joomla cache. It that does not help either, let us know.
