With the "cleanup trailing slashes" option enabled all works fine, except the case with the root of the site and multiple slashes. Examples :
- "www.example.com/" - works, becomes "www.example.com"
- "www.example.com/anyotherpage/" - works, becomes "www.example.com/anyotherpage"
- "www.example.com/anyotherpage//" - works, becomes "www.example.com/anyotherpage"

- "www.example.com//" - does NOT work, stays "www.example.com//"
