Hi,
i have recently started to use JoomSEF and i can say it's really a great product.
I write this post because i can't completly understand how to manage all 404 error cases.
I'm working on website:
www.tfautomation.it
When i try to manage 404 error page i have found two different case of failure:
Problem 1)
If a write these urls then 404 works fine:
a)
www.tfautomation.it/not_existing_page
b)
www.tfautomation.it/not_exist_page.htm
c)
www.tfautomation.it/not_exist_page.html
d)
www.tfautomation.it/not_exist_page.php
but if a insert a different page extension than ".htm", ".html", ".php", example:
d)
www.tfautomation.it/not_exist_page.abc
then i get classic (& horrid) web server error page, see here:
jabber2033.interfree.it/web_post/error_1.gif
Is possible
by JoomSEF to manage this error and redirect to 404 custom page?
If yes, how can i do it ?
Problem 2)
If i try to address (by a non-SEO url) a not existing article (or component),
example see these url:
1)
www.tfautomation.it/index.php?option=com...ticle&id=9999999
2)
www.tfautomation.it/index.php?option=com...ew=article&id=48
i get this error:
jabber2033.interfree.it/web_post/error_2.gif
How can i resolve it ?
I feel depressed :(
Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
J
