is there any documentation available on how to upgrade from JoomDoc 2 to JoomDoc 3 (Free version). I can't find any and when you want to install JoomDoc 3 it fails, because JoomDoc 2 is installed. Will JoomDoc 3 preserve the existing database tables with all my data from JoomDoc 2?

Hello, JoomDOC still hasn't migration from JoomDOC2. It's TODO.
You can migrate only manualy.

When can we expect the migration script?

Manually migrating is not an option for us. We have 200+ documents divided in many sub categories. Manually migrating means we have to do that all over again.

Hello, current version has migration from DocMAN/JoomDOC2.

There's some serious issue with the migration script, however.
I have imported and renamed the JoomDOC 2 tables. JoomDOC 3 can see them. The relative file path to move files from is correct.
Still, not a single document is migrated.


Somebody in a German speaking forum has bumped into the same roadblock. To bad my scarce knowledge of the language is not enough to fully understand how the poster fixed it.
