TOPIC: chaotic situation with language files

chaotic situation with language files 11 years, 3 months ago #40593

As there are even 500-errors caused by language-files(!!!) when updating to a new version it would be highly appreciated if you could post a changelog of languagefiles with every version.

Many other developers are setting new strings in a separate paragraph.

e.g

v.2.1.3
NEW_DATE="new date"
OLD_DATE="old date"

v.2.1.2
........

and so on

This would mean a big antvantage for those who are translating and spreading the files to your customers for free.

As I learned, there are already DE-translations included in the new releases. BUT: they are really buggy, hundreds of lines missing.
I did a comparison-chart for EN vs DE files and managed, that every String now is in exactly the same line.
On this base I also made new DE-files with adding missing lines, but the lines are still in english.
you can fin this as an attachment here

Hello, we maintain Czech and English only. Others languages are from external authors. We have no capacity to maintain plenty of different languages.

Thanks for your reply.
I understand that you cannot manage a lot of languages.
But maybe you could help other authors to keep translations up to date by publishing chanelogs for languagefiles and/or organise the languagefiles a I already mentioned with setting new strings in top in a paragraph that includes the version where strings were added
Have a nice day
