I expect to buy a paid or pro version of book it (seems a very usefull extention!), so I downloaded the free version to test it on a localhost on Joomla 2.5 / Yoothme recent template / french language config...

It seems that there is an UFT-8 caracter problem, here is an screen of the front end.
Is there a solution for this problem ? Is the same on pro or paid version? is it a configuration problem on my side (probably!) ?

Other questions :

1. On how many different website can I use with one licence (49 or 99) ? What is a "testing url" ?
2. Is it exact that I can configurate a rent for diferrent prices depending of the period of the year and this whith no limit ?
3. After 1 year update wil I have to pay the full price to continue update ?
4. Will I have to pay a VAT ?

I have had that problem with my installation after making a danish translation. All local charachters showed up like this.

it was solved by changning (converting) til file to UTF8 and then upload it again. For that job I used Notepad++ functions.

it looks like bug on our side and I'm not sure that marlew advice will help. Same problem will be on paid version.
If you want to translate it to your language by yourself, look at: FAQ translation
We will look on this problem and maybe repair it for next release.

1. You can use 2 different websites. One for main website and second as testing website. If your site uses multiple domain names on front-end, use the primary one, which is used to access Joomla backend.
2. Yes, it is. It should be possible to test on free version. You can specify more prices for different period or daytime.
3. After 1 year will be sent an email to you with license renewal offer. You don't need to pay full price. It will probably cost only around 30%.
4. 49 or 99 EUR are final prices for our booking extensions. You don't need to pay special VAT or something like that. Only if you select Bank Transfer as a payment method then you will pay small fee.

we generally don't translate any component to french language. I asked my colleague about this problem and this french language pack was send by our customer probably in different encoding than utf-8. We didn't check it and it broke after upload to our repository. We don't have original file now.

If anybody can repair this french language pack, we will be very grateful.
