The booking software on my site is off by one day.. For example it says March 22nd is a
Friday when it is really a Thursday. I have set Joomla 1.5 general configuration to the correct time zone. I also added the timezone info to the .htaccess file, but neither fixed this problem.

I tried with PHP5.2.17 with Linux and it works.

Very different is that in calendar is wrong date and in check out/in fields is correct.

Do you use Linux or Windows server?

I am having the same problem, when you click on a date in the calendar it enters the next days date in the checkin.
