Book It! Version: 1.6.1

I installed the free version of Book It! on a Joomla 1.5 site to evaluate it prior to purchasing. The installation went fine with no errors, and at first it looked like it was working great.

But as I was going through the tutorials for setting up a reservation, I discovered that the Object Manager is missing from the Control Panel in the admin console.

I tried looking though the documentation, but it all seems to be for newer versions of Book It!, and are not specific to the version which is compatible with Joomla 1.5.

Am I missing something obvious, or is there a problem I need to correct? If there is a problem, how do I address it?

There are some label changes. You should probably find "Bookable items" to manage Objects Items.

Ah, that's what I was looking for.

Is there documentation or tutorials available for the Joomla 1.5 compatible version? I am having some other problems getting it to work, but all of the documentation I've been able to find is for the newer versions and not applicable.

I've been reading through the documentation trying to learn how to do what I need to, but I think I'm more confused now than when I started! Here is what I want to do:

The website owner wants to allow online booking for birthday parties. Each party gets a two hour block of time, with the times starting at 9:00AM. There is only one party available at each time, but the times are available every day. In other words, there are time blocks for parties every two hours every day (9-11, 11-1, 1-3, and so on). Only one party can be booked for each time slot per day. If somebody wants their party to be at 3PM on Wednesday, they can book that time. If somebody else already has it booked, that particular time on that particular day will show as unavailable. So they will have to select an alternative day/time.

We will require a deposit to be paid (paid by credit card) in order to confirm the reservation.

I'm certain that Book It can do this, but I can't figure out how to set it up. Is there a tutorial I can use for this particular scenario?

and set time for price from 9:00 to 15:00.

do you have still problems with component settings?
Documentation is old. Book it! 1.6.0 and 2.0.0 is similar to older version and settings is still same. It only offers much more features. Main problem can be that Objects are newly called Bookable Items.

We are preparing new documentation for version 2. There will be modified names for objects and added new features. Book it! 1.6.0 is copy of version 2 for Joomla 1.5. But there are not included some new features like ACL in Joomla 2.5+.
