I have written a JoomSef extention to (partialy) work with garyscookbook.
I have tested it with JoomSEF version 2.2.2 and Garyscookbook version 2.3.3 and I didnt test the ability to let visitors post a recipe or a comment. The person I wrote this extention for disabled that anyway on the website.

The url of the category-listing, recipe listing, detailed recipe, pdf-printing and the special option like most-viewed are rewritten fine.

I made some modifications to some of Gary's files too. All the url's in his files I rewrote to use the Joomla function sefRelToAbs. So I might not garanty that my extention will work with the default installation. You can see the extention in action here.
