So I have Joomsef running with EzRealty, but it doesn't do anything for my listings. All it ,manages to do is create urls like 4salebyyou.net/listings-1.html and 4salebyyou.net/listings-2.html and -3.htm etc. Is anyone else using this plugin? Has anyone figured out how to make it list something a little more helpful? Maybe the address of the property.
I'd appreciate anyone's input. Thanks.

Hmmm- I don't get it? I walk away for awhile. When I come back, I re-upload .htaccess, turn on joomsef, and it works. Odd. Couldn't be the cache as I cleared it like 800 times. Oh well...IT WORKS!

I've just installed Joomsef and the Ez Realty extension on my site www.4salebyyou.net
I must be missing something because I'm just getting error messages when I try to click a menu item.
Example: I click on the Property Listings link. The address bar says 4salebyyou.net/listings.html
and the error message is:
Not Found
The requested URL /listings.html was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Any ideas?

Not sure if this is the correct answer...but, I'll offer it anyway:
I was trying to just change the title of my homepage. Couldn't figure it out. I had JoomSEO installed originally. It was set to override the page title. That worked fine. But, when I installed ARTIOJoomsef, it hijacked it. So, what you do is:
1) Select Components - ARTIO Joomsef
2) View/Edit SEF urls
3) You'll see a list. The number 1 spot should be your index. Check the box, and select edit from the menu on the right
4) in the Meta Tags area, change the title.
Hope that helps.

Lol...spent hours trying to figure it out. Posted here, and sorted it out 10 minutes later. This is the answer to my problem:
The line just below this section: 'Options FollowSymLinks' may cause problems
# with some server configurations. It is required for use of mod_rewrite, but may already
# be set by your server administrator in a way that dissallows changing it in
# your .htaccess file. If using it causes your server to error out, comment it out (add # to
# beginning of line), reload your site in your browser and test your sef url's. If they work,
# it has been set by your server administrator and you do not need it set here.
It was in the Joomsef manual...I just didn't know what I was doing. But, that worked great!

What did you do? This is my first time working with .htaccess and I'm not sure what to change. I'm having the same error.
