Probably a dumb question, but when I visit:

www.mysite.com

The page loads using the default meta tags defined in joomla config (Joomla 1.0.12) while if I click on \"Home\" from the menu visit:

www.mysite.com/index.html

which contains my nicely structured page title etc.

How do I make it so that direct requests to the site load the correct page title?

Hi, I'm trying to use the 301 redirect feature so that I can refer traffic from my google indexed pages to my new URLs but I'm having problems.

The old URL was for example:
www.example.com/old/old.htm

The new URL is now:
www.example.com/new.html

I've set up the 301 URL, but when I come in through the old URL it display a 404 and I notice the new URL is not how it should be, i.e it's:
www.example.com/old/new.html

Have I got something set wrong or is this a bug?

Why not just trying the following option under configuration:

Ignore multiple sources (Itemids) - YES
This works in 2.1.x
