Thank You, that worked.

I set everything which had a joomsef extension installed I set joomsef as my active handler.

Everything that didn't have a joomsef extension I set to default joomla router or not using sef.

I set everything up, things look great, then I close the window and come back about 10 to 15 mins. later and all of the url's have changed and I'm getting 404 errors.

I disable joomsef and use joomla's sef and things are fine.

any help would be great!
