Oh me oh my, I was hired to get this site fixed and this error has me really stumped. ONLY shows up on some pages, and I can't necessarily see a reason for when it shows up. The page joomsef.php DID have some trailing lines after closing ?> which I removed. Also, found many other files in the comsef component with trailing spaces and removed ALL of them but it hasn't helped.

In trying to debug the file, I can echo out as far as this bit in joomsef.php:

// Check the URL nesting.
switch ($URI->path) {

then if fails.

I have found TONS of files with trailing spaces in all of the comsef component files, I removed them but none have fixed the issue. And that is what documentation seems to say the issue is. Did you find anything else that it can be?

Also - I was hired to "fix" this site because the original creator was long gone - so I didn't install joomla or any of the plugins. I am wondering about just uninstalling the component but I am worried about repercussions. Can anyone share their experience with uninstalling this component or any other thoughts on just getting it fixed?
