if you have a link that you don't want joomsef to process simply stick a fake directory name in front of index.php in the joomla generated url. Joomsef will skip processing the joomla link but joomla will still process the requested url fine.

blah.com/fakedir/index.php....

After thinking about it I just need to figure out away for joomsef to skip joomla links it finds in the site with a particular itemid instead of simply turing it off for all links on a specific page.

I have a site that uses joomsef and I need turn it off on specific category page in Joomla 1. How can I do this? I have a category page with a lot of dynamic links displayed by a module and it is making the joomsef db huge. Can I tell joomself to work on all page except a certain Itemid or category id?

If I need to hack it, that is fine. Where in the code should I look for a place to stick an if statement saying if Itemid or category id equal this, don't optimize urls, else optimize urls?
