You mean reloading the frontpage? This did never help. I've found only two ways of make a SEF URL to start to exist:
  1. link to the new page from some other page (as soon as opens the linking page, the SEF URL starts to life)
  2. search for the page

Hi,

in our setup, the SEF URLs are not created automatically: I create an article, give it a meaningful alias, save it and immediately after saving I browse to the expected SEF URL -> 404 Category not found!

But: When I search for the article, it will be found and klicking on the search result will bring me to the - now working - SEF URL that was broken just seconds ago. It seems, that searching for a page triggers the creation for URLs. But what we need is SEF URL creation at article creation/save time!

We are running Joomla! 1.6 with newest JoomSEF.

Joomla! SEO Settings are:
  • SEF URLs: yes
  • Use Apache mod_rewrite: yes
  • Adds Suffix to URL: yes
  • Unicode Aliases: no
  • Include Site Name in
  • Page Titles: no

Selected JoomSEF Settings:
  • JoomSEF enabled: yes
  • Disable creation of new SEF URLs?: no
  • Use Title or Alias?: Title Alias
  • File suffix: -none-
  • Use Cache: no

Anybody know how to fix that?

Thanks

Hi,

when doing an update of the SEF URLs (klick on "Update URLs" in JoomSEF Control Panel), we get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JAdministrator::getLanguageFilter() in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/bio-it/includes/menu.php on line 113

Reloading the page with the error message brings me to the Update Report, but all SEF URLs are gone and directly reloading a page with a SEF URL give us a "404 - Category not found" error message. The URLs are then only rebuilt when searching for a page or when browsing there from the menu (as opposed to directly entering the URL).

We are using Joomla! 1.6 on Mac OS X 10.6 with MAMP (www.mamp.info/en/index.html, uses PHP 5.3.2). JoomSEF version is 4.0.0. We are not using any other SEF Extension.

Anyone has an idea, what causes this error and how it can be fixed?

Thanks in advance
