I am using vmsms component on my website. My order status is changed in the database using an external hardware component. When the order status is changed through the database it doesnt send an sms to the user although i have ticked notify shopper by default, i have to manualy press the update order status button in virtuemart backend so that an sms will be sent. Is there any way i can do this automaticaly and send an sms when the status is changed directly from the database, instead of having to do it manualy everytime through virtuemart admin area??

You would need to have some cron script set up that would check for order status modifications in some interval and notify VirtueMart and VM SMS about the change.
If you're interested we could probably implement such script for you as a paid support service.

What version of VirtueMart do you use? Would you also like to notify customer with the e-mail from VirtueMart or only send the SMS from VM SMS?

I use virtuemart 2 and i would like it to send both SMS and email when the hardware changes the order status.
