It happens something very strange, i don't if the problem is caused by VM or joomsef.

Erroneous URL is generated using categories in which the product is not in that category.

As an example regalosdecocina.com/cajas-con-utensilios...nic-bolsa-mod-2.html that product is not in that category, however a wrong URL is generated.

I'm using joomla 2.5.16, VM 2.0.24C and VM 4.5.1 JoomSEF and JoomSEF extension 3.0.18

The problem is the latest update virtuemart extension of JoomSEF... is wrong.

I have solved the problem changing the file

your web/ components / com_sef / sef_ext / com_virtuemart.php and com_virtuemart.xml using an older version... and all works properly

See if Artio instead of complaining that it's not their problem they fix it in a future release... took almost 3 weeks with the problem until I found the cause ... and artio badly for their support

I just did a test with another site that I have with JoomSEF (www.kairel.com), I made a previous backup.

Was working properly SEF URLs, I just updated only the virtuemart extension for JoomSEF of 3.0.14 to 3.0.17, I have not changed anything else... and the same problem

It has nothing to do with the update Virtuemart

Any idea?

It is true that something must be preventing it from generating SEF URLs in JoomSEF, but not the filter virtuemart extension, I have created any filters, is as it comes by default

It's the same you're a customer for years, an update "breaks" your store, you have to stop adwords because the URL is not correct and nobody says anything

Lately I've seen that are generating thousands of errors in the log like this:

Category with ID 3.65 not found.

index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=502&virtuemart_category_id=3,65

Do not understand why are categories with , or .

I've also seen that you create URLs that should not exist in the URL using product categories in which there is that product.

I've been using JoomSEF since 3 years and not had these problems before

I have activated the error reporting to maximum to see the error in my website (joomla 2.5.4 with VM 2.0.2) and shows this error... any idea?

Hi again,

I've found the problem.

The issue was that the new version of JoomSEF has a google analytics functionality, when you configure it it's like the website had twice the google analytics tracking code

I disabled JoomSEF google analytics and problem solved

Since I updated to version 3.9.2, I noticed that google analytics bounce rate has decreased from 35% to 4% on average. I realized in researching the real-time tool analytics that every time a user makes a click is like he were two.

I fear that I can affect the positioning of the web as Google believes that there is duplicate content
