Any update on this problem? Looks like it might have something to do with caching. When I disable Joomla caching the canonical tag is not added to the page.

Does JoomSEF 4 work with Joomla caching?

I am running JoomSEF 4.2.4 with Joomla 1.7.3 and K2 2.5.4. When I add a new K2 item the SEF URL gets generated but when I view the source the canonical URL is not there. But if I go and edit the Title under Manager SEF URLs for the newly created SEF URL then the canonical tag gets added but it is incorrect. It reads - "<link href="/1" rel="canonical" />"

How do I fix the generated canonical URL? I even tried disabling the "Automatic canonical link generation:" under Configuration and Advanced but it still gets added.

I am having this problem again where none of the JoomSEF settings are saving. For example I go to the Configuration tab then the Advanced Tab and change one of the settings. Then hit he Save button and the setting I just changed is reverted back to the old setting. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

I thought I had all rss feeds disabled in the K2 components I'm using but JoomSEF is still finding them. How can I track down where these rss feeds are coming from and stop JoomSEF from generating SEFs for them?

I am running JoomSEF 4.2.4 with the K2 extension 3.0.4. I have selected "Title Alias" under Use Title or Alias? on the Basic tab under Configuration. But when I SEF urls are generated for K2 item the Full Title is used instead of the Title Alias.

How do I fix this?

I uinstalled the K2 JoomSEF extension and then reinstalled it and it will now save the settings correctly.

I am running JoomSEF 4.2.4 with the K2 extension 3.0.4. The Add Category to URL option for the K2 extension is not working. The only value I can set this to is "All categories". When I select "Only last one" or "No" and hit save it says it saved successfully but "All categories" is selected again.

Why is my email address showing up in the forums? I have checked "hide email" in my profile settings.

Who do I need to contact about getting a refund for the purchase price of JoomSEF 4 and the corresponding K2 Extension.

I have made multiple attempts to get support on both of these items and even offered to pay for support but I can't get any help at. This lack of support for paid product is unacceptable.

Any other tips to keep JoomSEF running as fast as possible? Also I'm using JoomSEF 4 not 3 if that makes any difference.

It is sorting of working. Here is what is happening.

I changed the Moved from URL to - tag-cell phone.html

Now if I go to the Moved to URL - tags/cell-phone

Then try the redirect at - tag-cell phone.html to worked correctly. But if I do not visit the Moved to URL first the redirect do not work.

Is there some kind of caching going on here or something?

Also will a large number of 301s slow down my site? I currently have over 3000 301s setup and it seems like my site has slowed down.

I am having some problems when setting up 301 redirects in JoomSEF. All of them work fine except for when I use a + sign in the "Moved from URL" field.

E.g.

Moved from URL: tag-cell+phone.html
Moved to URL: tags/cell-phone

I have checked the "Moved to URL" and it exists and pages loads fine. But if I type in the "Moved from URL" I get a 404 page not found error.
